Before you consider lawn germination blankets, consider using peat moss and a tackifier. The tackifier will hold the peat moss and prevent erosion while seeding. It also allows the grass seed to easily germinate.
With germination blankets, you can actually over water or smother the grass seed. I did in a previous video where I tried out the blankets. Using the tackifier proved to be way cheaper, and it actually worked!
