A week prior to shooting this video I applied a plant growth regulator called T-Nex. It’s a generic version of Primo Maxx. It substantially slowed down the growth in my lawn which was very helpful for reel mowing!

Mushrooms in the lawn can be a sign of lawn disease. If you see them, be on the lookout! It is possible to have an amazing lawn with mushrooms and no disease, so don’t go out and spray chemicals when unnecessary – just use them as nature’s warning that conditions are ripe.

You can find the products I used in this video in the link below. There are a variety of “liquid aeration” products you can use, just look for one that has a soap in them. If it’s really bad, or you want to have it fixed very quickly, you can use more expensive professional grade products that work for localized dry spot.

When to apply milorganite? Right now! It’s time for the 4th of July milorganite application. While the temperatures are high, it’s safe to apply milorganite as it’s an organic fertilizer that won’t burn the lawn.

Affected by the milorganite shortage? That’s OK! It’s starting to get stocked in home depot, lowes, and other suppliers. Just be patient, you can apply milorganite anytime so if you’re late just apply it when you get your hands on it!

I’m using T-Nex PGR (thanks to Colonel K0rn on TheLawnForum.com) to slow down the growth in my lawn. Reel mowing every day is not doable with my schedule, but by regulating the growth I don’t have to!

T-Nex is a generic version of Generic Primo MAXX. Whenever possible I like to use generic versions and save a ton 😉
