Once you’ve identified poa annua in your lawn, killing poa annua is actually pretty easy. Also known as annual bluegrass, poa annua has a light green color to it and distinctive seed heads.
Poa annua weed control is best done with a pre-emergent in the fall, and tenacity herbicide in the spring.
