Today I watched the USS Zumwalt depart from Newport RI. While I was waiting for it to pass by a school stopped by for an unrelated field trip. In the video you can hear some of their reactions as they see it come into view 😉

USS Zumwalt (DDG-1000) is a guided missile destroyer of the United States Navy. Zumwalt has stealth capabilities. To learn more:

Why I use peat moss in a renovation

I use peat moss whenever I do a lawn renovation for two reasons: it keeps the seed moist, and it makes it easy to see when you need to water more. After this video you’ll start using it too 😉

Top Dressing your Grass Seed with Peat Moss

Applying 1/4in peat moss over your grass seed ensures the seed stays moist and germinates quicker. Many have seen higher germination rates when using peat moss. You should use about 1-2 bales of peat moss per 1000 square feet. I spread it around with this rake and it worked great, but others use compost spreaders aka peat moss spreaders.
