We get the most amazing crop of blueberries every year and it’s all because of the organic holly-tone fertilizer for acid loving plants. The blueberry bushes love this fertilizer!

Fertilizing blueberry bushes is actually really simple. Starting in early spring I’ll put a cup of blueberry fertilizer around each blueberry bush. Then I’ll repeat it every 1-2 months during the growing season. That’s it!

Replacing the thermowax choke actuator on your Honda HRX217 is actually pretty easy. You can buy the replacement thermowax on Amazon and replace it in about 10 minutes.

If you look inside the Honda HRX217 choke you can see the thermo wax needs replacement when it is stuck open despite the mower being turned off. This usually happens in colder weather on affected models.

Honda HRX217 parts are easy to get online so take your time and you can replace the thermowax yourself!

People are always talking about whether step one products are the best spring lawn fertilizer. There is an argument to be made about a better option. But ultimately if you are worried that turf builder in the spring is a waste, watch this video.

The best spring lawn fertilizer is milorganite in my opinion, but it doesn’t have the pre-emergence that step 1 has. So you’ll have to put that down separately. Which depending on how you enjoy lawn care might be a chore or might be fun.

When I used the germination blanket I was trying to get the grass to grow on the hill. Seed blankets are supposed to keep the seed from washing away. However these were thick and I may have over watered so germination was poor.

With the warm weather the urge to aerate and overseed in the spring is high. Spring lawn care can be amazingly fun after a long winter. But overseeding in the spring isn’t the best time to seed!

The best time to aerate and overseed is actually in the fall. Some instances overseeding in the spring is worth the risk, but for most people proper fertilizing and watering is all that’s necessary. Then in the fall a good aerate and overseed will produce better results.
