As for Poa Annua, I take the laid back approach and let it die on it’s own. For something that won’t be around long anyways I don’t let it bother me. If it bothers you, Tenacity will do the trick.

The key is to put pre-emergence down in the fall to prevent it form germinating for next year. So either way make sure you put it down in the fall!

A lawn softener or soil conditioner will soften the soil and allow the water and nutrients to get to the roots. Some people shampoo the lawn, you can also use dish soap, but the combo of soap plus yucca extract is very beneficial to the lawn!

I used 1oz per gallon of yucca extract, and 4oz per gallon of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. This time I made two gallons and used a hose end sprayer set to 4oz.

Milorganite is the best summer fertilizer because it slowly feeds the lawn without burning it in the summer heat. Step 2 of the lawn fertilizer schedule is to apply it around the fourth of July.

I prefer to put it down a week before the 4th so the milorganite has a chance to work it’s organic nitrogen and iron into the soil and give the lawn a boost for the holiday!

It’s time for an updated how to get rid of clover video. I’ll still show you the old method to kill clover, but the newer method is much easier. I figure killing clover in your lawn should be done the easy way!

I use the Ortho Weed B Gon Chickweed Clover and Oxalis Killer for Lawns. There is a Bonide Chickweed, Clover & Oxalis Killer Concentrate as well, but it’s not a hose end ready to use version.
